It’s our mission to support our community as effectively as we can, and make sure that everyone in Tyne and Wear is safe.

We serve a diverse community, so we offer lots of safety tips to help people celebrate religious and cultural events safely.

We also offer education opportunities and home safety advice for people who have hearing, sight or mobility difficulties.

Youth programmes

We’re involved with a range of initiatives for young people, including:

• Fire Cadets
• Phoenix Programme
• Prince’s Trust Team Programme

These initiatives help to improve the lives of young people in our area and to reduce anti-social behaviour.

Volunteers

Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and bring a wide range of skills and experience to the organisation.
