Publication Scheme
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service is committed to providing information about the services we offer, how we spend money and how we make decisions in line with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
What is a Publication Scheme?
Every public authority subject to the Freedom of Information Act must maintain a publication scheme outlining what information is routinely available, how to access it, and any associated costs. The aim is to make as much information as possible easily accessible without requiring a specific request.
TWFRS follows the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) model publication scheme, covering both existing and future publications. Information is available on our website for download or in traditional document form, either free of charge or at a cost.
Some information may not be made available when:
- we do not hold the information
- the information is exempt from disclosure
- we cannot easily access the information
